Petition to Stop Stardust Solutions
(See below to sign)
Date of Creation: May 22, 2026
We, the undersigned coalition of concerned citizens, oppose solar geoengineering activities and, therefore, petition the United States government and state legislatures to prohibit Stardust Solutions ("Stardust") from engaging in these operations.
Who is Stardust?
Stardust, a U.S.-Israeli company incorporated in the United States, has already secured $75 million in private funding to engage in solar geoengineering. Stardust intends to release millions of tons of particles into the Earth's atmosphere to dim the sun. This activity has the potential to cause long-term damage to the planet and human life.
The signatories to this Petition specifically declare: "We Do Not Consent to this activity."
We Demand Action
While several U.S. states, including Florida, Tennessee, and Louisiana, have passed laws banning or addressing geoengineering, these steps need to be taken further. By way of this Petition, we call upon state and federal legislative bodies to take more meaningful official action to prohibit solar geoengineering activities and, specifically, Stardust, in the following fashion:
- Prohibit Stardust from engaging in solar geoengineering methods on U.S. soil or in any other location in any other country that affects the United States and its citizens;
- Prohibit solar geoengineering activities in the United States for a period of ten years;
- Take action against any nation that permits Stardust and/or any other private entity that engages in solar geoengineering activities; and
- Establish an independent oversight body with authority to investigate and halt unauthorized solar geoengineering and atmospheric experimentation.
