Overview

Nano-scale aluminum is investigated for geoengineering applications as an alternative to sulfur. Research published by Diamond Light Source (2021) demonstrates that certain nanoparticles can cross the blood-brain barrier. Peer-reviewed studies correlate chronic aluminum exposure with neurodegenerative changes. The ATSDR notes subtle neurobehavioral effects associated with long-term aluminum exposure.

How It Is Deployed

Aluminum nanoparticles are proposed for dispersal at high altitude to create a reflective aerosol layer. SRM proposals call for dispersing large quantities of aluminum oxide annually. Independent analyses have identified elevated aluminum in atmospheric and precipitation samples.

Reported Health Effects

Environmental Impact

Aluminum particulates accumulate in soil, altering pH levels and disrupting root nutrient absorption in plants. They contaminate water supplies, are documented to harm aquatic ecosystems, and persist in the environment for extended periods.
